Ever dig through folders on random CDs you've got burned, laying around? I do it from time to time looking for files for whatever reason. Usually, I find something I completely forgot about...like this picture. There are two Kid Chameleons...the first is a character from an old series of British comic strips in the 1970s. Then there's this kid..the coolest kid in your neighborhood! He has the power to step inside an arcade, kick your ass in the arcade SegaSonic the Hedgehog game, and any other game Sega made, and look badass doing it. How? With masks!
I decided to do the most common mask that people seem to remember from the game for this fictional comic book cover. Would I ever draw a Kid Chameleon comic book? No. I wouldn't draw ANY comic book, as I just don't have that kind of time or patience, but I will waste an entire weekend trying to play through the over 90 levels the game has to offer...ah, good times.

A few days ago I promised my boy Michael Wiggin an alien pic, because I was posting art like crazy and couldn't figure out what else to draw...and he suggested aliens. Since I didn't have any at the time, other than some old sketches, seems like my collection was missing aliens altogether. So this, will be the first alien image in my gallery EVER, and I owe it all to Michael!Labels: Aliens, Animated, Cartoon, comic book, Sci-Fi
Another image based on some of Sarah's stock. I changed up quite a bit as I only needed the pose for the reference.Labels: Animated, Anime, comic book, fantasy, Glow
This is not the Heart you know, this is the Heart Aino (ok, so shoot me). Anyway, this is the last picture I'm moving over for now. I may actually post an entirely new piece of artwork on my next entry. Anyway, I drew good ol' Heart Aino after the night me and my friends went to the Planet Zero Anime Center on Westheimer here in Houston and played this awesome, beautifully hand drawn animated all girl fighter called Arcana Heart, and I was POSITIVE it would be released over here...and sure enough it was...on the PS2. I owned it. I played it. I couldn't beat it. The end boss is RIDONKULOUSLY hard, but the game is still pretty to look at. Then again, almost all anime and anime related stuff is pretty to me.Labels: Anime, Arcana Heart, Cartoon, comic book, girl, Heart Aino, Japanese, Manga
Here was my final entry in this year's past Project Green. Again, I decided to cel shade Jade, or "Yade", lol, and partly ink the background, adding effects later. The far background is painted. It's actually the VERY first background I did for my VERY first Jade picture years and years ago for my friend Andrew's birthday present. A few months after posting it I was invited to be part of the BGE Club on DeviantArt, and have been an active member ever since. This was another attempt to dress her up in something other than her usual outfit, but keeping the same color scheme, and incorporating things from the game, such as the "SYSTEM 4" text on her sleeve.Labels: Animated, Anime, Beyond Good and Evil, comic book, Jade, Ubi Soft
Another entry of Jade to this year's past Project Green. I love this character so much, that if someone gave me enough money, I'd hire a team of fantastic animators over at TMS, the writers from Batman The Animated Series and produce 6 continuous seasons of a Beyond Good and Evil animated series, made for primetime viewing. Sadly, that will probably never happen, so this is the next best thing...a gallery full of Jade fan art. This one, I did something a little different than usual. Instead of painting my background on a seperate layer, I actually inked it with the rest of the image and applied some effects to it to seperated Jade from it. I like it, actually.Labels: Animated, Anime, Beyond Good and Evil, comic book, Jade, Ubi Soft
